Update: The Next Phase
The Geek Outbreak is evolving into something bigger, stronger, and more resilient—because we refuse to be contained, limited, or defined by someone else’s idea of what we should be.
What Changed
We announced a store launch and Geek Outbreak Con because the plan was real and the vision was ready.
As the process unfolded, it became clear that the environment we were being asked to exist within came with boundaries that would have forced us to become something we’re not—to fit into a neat, acceptable box, and to mask ourselves to make other people more comfortable.
But The Geek Outbreak was never meant to live inside boxes. We’re building this for the people who exist between them—for the ones who shouldn’t have to hide, shrink, or pretend to belong. Rather than let this project be reshaped into something it isn’t, we chose to evolve it.
What This Means Now
The Geek Outbreak was never meant to be confined to a single location, a single idea, or a single kind of geek.
From the beginning, this has been about discovery, inclusion, and creating a place to belong—especially for the people who don’t always see themselves reflected in traditional spaces. It’s about having a place where you can be yourself, be surrounded by things that inspire you, and express who you really are without having to explain, justify, or hide it.
We’re moving forward as a flexible, community-first platform—built through events, collaborations, creator showcases, and experiences that evolve as we do—because what we’re building was never meant to be gatekept, limited, or contained.
What About Geek Outbreak Con?
We are currently in the process of re-scheduling and re-locating Geek Outbreak Con, to a time and location that will align better with our vision. Stay tuned for more details.

What's Still Happening
The Outbreak isn’t stopping—it’s shifting shape and moving forward. Here’s what’s next.
Steampunk & Oddities Expo (May) is still happening
The first event of The Geek Outbreak’s next phase—and the beginning of something bigger.
Steampunk & Oddities Expo is still happening this May—and this year, it comes fully under The Geek Outbreak banner.
What does that mean? It means this event isn’t just continuing—it’s evolving.
Steampunk & Oddities has always been about alternative culture, creativity, curiosity, and the beautifully strange. Under The Geek Outbreak, we’re expanding that vision: elevating the experience, growing the scope, and building it into something more immersive, more connected, and more impactful for both creators and attendees.
This year marks the start of that transformation. The event you love is still here—but it’s also the foundation for something bigger, better, and more ambitious than ever before.
Steampunk & Oddities isn’t just “still happening.”It’s becoming part of a larger world.
The Geek Outbreak Presence
You’ll still find us showing up, connecting, and building the future of the Outbreak with the community.
You’ll still see us showing up—connecting with the community, supporting creators, and building what comes next in real time.
We’re actively mapping out what our physical presence looks like moving forward, focusing on formats that are more flexible, more resilient, and better aligned with our mission.
This next phase is about meeting people where they are, creating meaningful experiences, and shaping the future of The Geek Outbreak in a way that isn’t limited to a single space.

To Vendors & Creators
If you create, build, perform, design, craft, or imagine—there is a place for you here.
The Geek Outbreak exists because of passionate people. Artists. Makers. Performers. Builders. Dreamers. The kind of people who don’t always fit neatly into existing boxes—but make the world more interesting because of it.

If you’re a vendor, creator, author, musician, cosplayer, craftsperson, or experience-based creator, we want to hear from you.

Right now, applications for Steampunk & Oddities Expo are opening soon—but The Geek Outbreak is bigger than a single event. If what you do doesn’t fit a category yet, that doesn’t mean you don’t belong here. It means we haven’t built that space yet.

This is how The Geek Outbreak grows:
We find passionate people. We look at what they do. We make space for it. And the vision evolves.
"Geek culture will NOT be gatekept.
The Outbreak continues."
More Announcements Are Coming Soon
This is just the beginning. The Outbreak is already moving — and what’s coming next is already in motion. Bigger. Bolder. Impossible to ignore.
